The First Year Story
The First Year Story is three sessions across your baby's first year: a newborn session, a baby milestone session, and the first birthday portrait experience. The three are planned together as one story, and Natalie photographs all three of them herself.
The story starts from $2,497, which is the three starting prices added together. Each session keeps its own price, and nothing is discounted or added for booking them this way. Families come to the private studio in Roseville from Roseville, Sacramento, the Bay Area, and across Northern California.
Three sessions, one child
The first session is the newborn session, photographed at the studio or in your home. The second is a baby milestone session, made for babies who can sit independently. The third is the first birthday portrait experience, which includes a cake smash.
Each of the three would stand on its own. Planned together, they become a record of the same child across one year, photographed by the same person, from the newborn session to the first birthday.
What planning the three together gives you
It is fair to ask what The First Year Story adds when every price stays the same. It does not add a discount or a bonus. What it adds is that the three sessions are planned together as one story, so the photographs follow the same child from the newborn session to the first birthday, all photographed by Natalie.
Retouching follows the same approach in all three sessions. It polishes a photograph without erasing the person in it, and it is kept gentle and realistic, so the photographs from the year show how your child actually changed from one session to the next.
Where each session takes place
The newborn session can take place at the studio or in your home. For an in-home session, Natalie brings all of the props, outfits, and equipment needed for studio-quality photographs in your home. The in-home fee is $100 with the Tender and Precious packages, and it is included with Heirloom.
The private studio is at 1220 Melody Lane, Suite 180, in Roseville, and is available by appointment.

With every newborn package, extra fully edited images are $10 each. With Tender and Precious, additional family members are $50 per person.
